Some of my rants are about a previous dev who, to be nice, didn't play by the rules and did his own thing. Yesterday, I discovered a legacy app he had written that was essentially his own hand rolled version of Task Scheduler. From what I can tell, there's no functionality that isn't already handled by Task Scheduler, this guy just liked making his life impossibly hard.
