Wearing socks for 12 hours straight is alright.
But wearing socks for 5-6 hours then taking them off for 5 mins and wearing them back again is weird.

You should try those shoes that can be worn without socks. IMO they're awesome, especially during the summer.

@kamen Sandals. If you want to appear German, combine them with white tennis socks.

@Fast-Nop why do they wear it? I have seen sandals without back of the foot brace and white socks version even. Adidas ones.

Also a good pair of sandals can be the greatest thing ever for trips and/or tracks.

if I could I will wear sandals all year long and don't put a sock on my feet at all, but sadly it still gets colder here in the winter

@aviophile friend of mine does that (thankfully not with white socks) because she wants open shoes during the summer but hates direct skin contact with the shoe

@lungdart Check out Satorisan. Some (not all, but maybe most?) of their models ship with leather soles and they're super nice.

@lungdart Yeah, some of them are weird to put it mildly (but after all it's a matter of taste). There were previously some pretty simple designs that they don't offer any more.
