I always see these Linux vs Windows vs MacOS debates. But you guys are forgetting the most important and best OS there is!

ChromeOS.

I know the ChromeOS is based on Linux, just shhh and let me try to be funny.

Yes yes, the OS where you cannot even install your own software! How wonderful!

Chrome OS is perfect for normal users, my mom only need a browser, she doesn't need any other program.

Restricting the user's freedom of choice or options seems cruel until you realize that they will be nearly incapable of breaking it and thus will be completely satisfied with it. It's us who have the lust for control over technology. Muggles just want to survive the 21st century. That's it.

I actually know a couple of non-technical people who hate ChromeOS because they're unable to safe files to the device, nor can they print easily.

I now have to bring this up to everyone who asks about computers or Chromebooks.

I wouldn't exactly call an operating system which directly hooks into the biggest mass surveillance system ever created from the first moment an important or even best operating system tbh (hey don't kill me for my opinion okay, there's a lot of opinions going around here 😰)

@makmm Jesus Christ that's expensive. I've seen Chromebooks that were like $250 USD
