Does anyone else usually feel a bit homicidal towards someone(replace with boss or client) who doesn’t know a thing about what you do but constantly critiques your work?

Client: I don’t like how it looks, put some more design on it.

What does that even mean ????!?!

Yes, my mother.

Me: Okay, mother. I finished your website!

Mother: Why does the menu use that animation? Change it.

Me: Okay!

Mother: Why does the logo stay in place? Change it.

Me: Okay.

Mother: I don't like these colors. Change it.

Me: Okay...

Mother: I don't like the font. Change it.

Me: ...

It needs more POP, a bit more pizazz and god help me if it doesn’t go Bling.

Told the guy to draw it up for me and I’ll design it exactly how he wants it.

I think I’ve just made my situation worse.

Design is simple. It used to be rounded corners and blurred glass. Now you either make it look like floating business cards with subtle drop shadows and a "+" in a round button, or just make everything into sharp square tiles with happy colors. Boom, design.
