Is it OK to put HTML code into PHP? I just did it and I feel like I'm doing a terrible abomination

    If not using any templating like twig etc maybe just fully escape out so it not html in php but php in html? And opening closing tags are nice indicators to still keep some structure in code.

    People used to put PHP in html.

    Either way you do it, it feels like putting an egg in a gun or a gun in an egg. It's just wrong... how ever you choose to do it

    Well, that is what it does, you put HTML in Php, you put Php in HTML
