Masta3017yAnd even if it's quite of hidden behind the hype for front-end frameworks, PHP is still here serving the API for a large amount of modern projects. And it does a great job at it.

Php is definitely going to be with us for a loooong flipping time so if you like it git better at it and continue to use it. I absolutely Loooooove php, do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Learn it, learn how to build your own framework (best way imo in how to get better at it) use its new powers and advantages such as the support for a typed language, learn regex through it and build your own rooting system. Learn how to do di in it. Man there is so much out there for this amazing language, fuck evee and his fractal of bad design. Although if you wanna learn python or rails shit man more power to you, learn whatever you want. Python is amazing with django, flask, bottle, pyramid etc. And rails is beautiful. ¿Why people hate PHP so much? I love it since it was my first web dev lang and I fell in love with it, however, I decided to move to another language since apparently It's going to die, not saying tomorrow but eventually. I'm not sure which language to pick (between Python (django, pyramid), Elixir (Phoenix) or Ruby (RoR). Any suggestions?
Also, what language you use and do you like PHP?
