    I love the fact they advertise Edge to be Energy efficient

    @asgs do you have any proof that it isn't?

    Spoiler alert more ram usage doesn't translate to more total energy

    Spoiler alert 2 we should reproduce the exactly situation in another browser to compare, we don't know how many tabs and what was exactly doing

    @dontbeevil It was around 30-35 opened tabs

    @NoToJavaScript still it's just a number, could be 35 hello world, or 35 complex web apps 🙂

    @dontbeevil you didn't get what I said but it is ok

    @asgs I get, I'm waiting that you prove them wrong or that another browser is more energy efficient than edge

    @dontbeevil well, that icon is ironic. It actually means the app is heavy and getting suspended to unbloat the system

    @dontbeevil true.

    It's a mix. Couple of really light sites like https://www.addic7ed.com/

    Some youtube videos, 1 playing, 3 on pause

    Some MS apps like devops and Azure portal

    And some random shit

    @NoToJavaScript I totally understand, it's always a mix... I was just trying to saying that if we cannot compare the exact scenario on other browser, we cannot prove of it's use more or less resources... just for example I could have one hello world page open and show: wow this browser is so light, or have 100 heavy tabs open and show a browser that use 32gb of ram, that's it...anyway glad we use similar softwares and websites 🙂

    @asgs keeping data in RAM caches costs less energy than recalculating on the CPU? 🤷‍♂️
