Did you just make a rant that said "ok sure man" withthe tag "ok" and delete it immediately?
-
tahnik389897y@hash-table it's an unofficial custom devRant desktop application. It has a lot of features + extras that is currently missing in the website 🙃
-
@tahnik Would you mind if I contacted you through Github? I am currently working on another app for devRant and some help with the Api would be really great.
-
Dacexi120367y@olback @tahnik yeah we definitely need to move the site. Would be much cooler to have a proper domain :)
-
Dacexi120367y@tracktraps I would be the API Guy :)
Feel free to look through https://GitHub.com/rekkyrek/... for API endpoints and usage (it's the one we made for devRantron so it should basically have everything in there :) ) -
tahnik389897y@vexusia lol, I stopped using anti virus a long time ago. It's a waste of resources if you know how to carefully browse the internet.
-
px0622467y@Dacexi @tracktraps I have also written a C# wrapper for the public API if that's any use for you. https://github.com/redrails/...

@Dacexi That's really awesome. Thank you very much. This will definitely speed up the development process.

Cyanite85577y@tahnik
Request:
If someone clicks a wk# tag, it should open the weekly tab, or atleast show what that week was in search. -
Cyanite85577y@tahnik
Also, on the weekly page, if you set a different week, and then change the sorting method (Algo/Top/Recent) The bar stays at the week you set, but the content reverts to the current week.
I would submit an official issue, but I'm having internet problems. (I can't load most websites) -
Cyanite85577y@tahnik
Another bug:
The week dropdown stays open even if you click away, and stays on top of other objects. -

Do you have an ETA on when you're going to work on collabs?
Or is that not a priority right now..?
Honestly, editing and maintaining a collab in the DevRant app is the biggest hastle.. So I plan on reposting mine (since I let it go dead, though I will remove the old one) and maintain it through DevRantron. Since my game has a large amount of followers in this community, I really want to maintain my collab.
Also, collabs don't load very far.. In fact, mine is unreachable with your current system. It only loads about ten..? I haven't actually counted, that's just a guess. -
tahnik389897y@Cyanite Unfortunately, collabs in not on our priority list. Although, collab should load without a problem. Maybe give it a try again?
Also, I fixed those weekly bugs and they are currently in our dev branch. We are going to do some testing for 1-2 days and release it.

⚡️ devRantron v1.4.1 ⚡️
I strongly urge all the users of the devRantron to upgrade their app. We have added some major features and made a lot of bugfixes. For example:
1. Edit Rants and Comments
2. Browse Weekly
3. Save drafts of rants so that you can edit and post them later. Also, the app now autosaves when you are typing a new rant and will keep it until you post it.
4. Fixed macOS startup. Previously the app used to open a terminal in the background to launch the app. That has been removed.
5. Confirmation before deleting a rant or comment
6. Huge performance optimization. We have upgraded to React 16 and also changed the way our compiler compiles the application. The way we fetch the notifications has also been changed and it uses less bandwidth.
7. The app will only have single instance now. If you accidentally open the app again, it will just switch to the currently running instance.
8. We now show a release info dialogue before updating. Linux and macOS users will now receive an update notification for new updates.
9. Added the ability to select rant types.
You can get it from here: https://devrantron.firebaseapp.com/
macOS users, please remove the devRantron from "Login Items" in Settings > Users and Groups.
We would like to thank all our users for giving us the feedbacks. If you like the app, you can show your appreciation by giving a start to the repo.
Thank you!
