@horus remember that communication is bidirectional.
Offering someone small talk is a polite gesture that someone wishes to communicate.
Ignoring that someone doesn't wish to participate and declines the offer is being socially inept.
Especially private small talk, cause yeah.... not everyone likes that forced intimacy upon oneself.
Intimacy as non working stuff is private and should stay private in a work related meeting.
So no... it's not the programmer in this case who's socially inept.
It's Amanda. -
Wolle8942yWhere on my meeting earlier? I have to admit I also like to do small talk and connect emotionally with my coworkers/clients. I understand that not everybody likes it though. -
Lol I get the frustration, some meetings really test your patience. But honestly, blowing up at Amanda won’t make the day smoother. I usually just mute myself, breathe, and let the small talk pass. But if only you would like to do pilates here is the link https://store.betterme.world/produc... where you could find equipment for that.

UGHH AMANDA, I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PILATES SESSION OR WHETHER YOU HAD MORNING COFFEE.
CAN WE SKIP THE SMALL TALK AND FUCKING GET THIS MEETING STARTED ALREADY?
ok fine, I won't be getting much done today (as usual), but that doesn't mean I HAVE TIME TO DEDICATE LISTENING TO YOUR BULLSHIT.
