DotGreen501yMy brother taught himself basics then went on a few courses to get some certifications in plumbing and heating. He’s never without work and probably earns more than 50% of people in this shitshow of an industry.

Hazarth95061yI know some stuff just by having to do them in the past at least once. So now I'm just waiting for things to start leaking or breaking randomly in the case I fucked it up. But so far everything is holding :D

Was working as a maintenance worker in a car parts factory before my first IT Job, and in general come from a household, where my dad always fixed stuff themselves. I think the results speak for themselves.
More often than not i only buy materials and build the stuff around in my apartment myself. Currently in the process of finishing up a self built desk. -
I'm making a table this weekend.
I'm not a pro, it just needs to not fall down. Challenge accepted. -
@ojt-rant speaking of it, i finished it a few hours ago. Need to clean around it, and install the rgb strip in the channel behind it along the wall. Then it will be done.

@ojt-rant no haha 😅
but i'm more of a wired type person anyways. Still need to 3D print channels, to screw under the desk to hide away all the cables.
I wish I knew some basic carpentry/plumbing stuff. Working with physical tools and creating/fixing something that you can actually touch and feel is oddly satisfying.
