We would have certainly been crippled. Ignorance is bliss sometimes, true. But living a completely ignorant life seems implausible unless a weird gene mutation occurs and destroys our abilities to think -
@Nanos not trying is more on the scale of remaining ignorant to commonly shared problems. Not saying it’s wrong or right but I feel like it’s remaining ignorant as a strategy
Humanity would be better off if everyone - with NO exception to wealthiest or most powerful - was more inherently limited in what was achievable. There is a line where most people give up on a problem of a peculiar difficulty. In our world, we are constantly reminded of the problems we are unable to solve. We can either stay blissfully ignorant or become engrossed in the insanity of finding the impossible solution. There is less and less in-between.
