Thinking of swapping my laptop's 5400rpm hdd for an ssd (evo 850), but not sure if it's a priority.

    Speed is always a priority.

Ya especially if you multitask, so much better with ssd.

    It is settled then! 😠

If it's remotely an option, moving from magnetic to SSD is a total no brainer...

    Yes. Do it now.

I have no idea how people used to live without SSDs. For some reason I blocked all my memories from before this amazing invention!

For some reason, the best part in using an SSD for me is the fact that I can just swing my laptop around and not care about messing anything up... It's like I have a really big phone or tablet now x)

@P3t3r6 Good one, I want to have better hibernation performance.

Oh, and just be able to close the lid, and throw it in the bag, before it suspends ... For some reason I didn't feel too comfortable doing that with an HDD... Again, "afraid" of a head crash or something...

@jirehstudios hibernation is pretty harsh for a SSD.

I can vouch for that SSD. Replaced my 7200rpm HDD with it, installed windows 10 on it and the difference is amazing. Now thinking about swapping my 7200rpm laptop HDD with the same SSD
