    I don’t do it myself but I think it does have a positive effect: It makes it clear that many users are affected and the maintainer can more accurately evaluate the severity of the issue. So it’s probably more likely to be fixed.

    If only one person would post the issue and everybody else wouldn’t add "me too", the maintainer could have the impression that it’s just not worth it to fix for a single user.

    On the downside, it is annoying to scroll through all of the useless "me too" comments.

    All I’m saying is that those comments are not completely useless.
    But of course upvote is much better.

    @ostream I agree but I also wonder how you live your life rejecting everything in existence. What alternatives do you use for all the things you hate?
