@k0pernikus I dislike that auto save function, I have used it a few times but it just Confused me when I’m working across multiple files, but in this case it would have helped.

@C0D4 If I'm confused in the middle of things there's always git reset --hard. Any state that's not committed might as well be saved automatically.

Also depending on the tools you use you might have a local history (jetbrain's IDE come mind). Or should find one that provides it.
