My Witcher 3 save state has vanished.

I didn't delete that!

Well, why should anything fuck around in my personal documents folder?

@ThatDude I enabled windows to help me free space on my drive.

Because it's just 128gb and it kindly offered to help me with that.

I just stopped playing for about 4 days. I was pretty far. Again.

And now, this fucken sets me back like 20hours.
I luckily have a backup of an old state somewhere. ..

But this is just fucked up.

Yeah this happened to me too, but it wasnt windows. It was the game after an update

Except new GPU, but what the hell?

@RageBone games tend to update automatically in the background

@ThatDude are you stalking me? I post something and within 20 seconds it already has an ++. Three times in a row.

@Codex404 it's the gog version and I don't have gog galaxy installed, nore have I added it to steam.

I highly doubt that the game got an update.

@RageBone wow that really sucks. I accidentally deleted my 200h save half a year ago and was really worried but it was the first time I was happy about the existence of cloud storage (steam saved my life. I was near to suicide)

@b3b3 it's like the 5th time that I'm really far into the Witcher and that I loose the save for some reason.

I admit, the first two where dumbness on my side, but annoying none the less.

@RageBone ooooh fuck yes I know that moment of truth when you are reinstalling windows and you ask yourself if you REALLY saved everything you need.

Note to self: Regularly back up witcher 3 save files.
