so they are really out there...

people who beleive C# is just the one source of truth and all other languages are just garbage

🤡

sad to be so ignorant - though i guess ignorance is bliss

to be clear: I use C# like anyone else, but it's just a tool in the toolkit, that's all

    "The best language is the only language that I know." This is just an admission lack of experience.

    "The best language is the one I am currently working with." This is just an admission of focus.

    "The best language is not ever going to be Javascript." This is just an immutable fact.

    @mansur85 I C what you did there...

    To be fair, I think C# is one of the most robust language when it comes OOP and syntax. Sadly, people prefer Python with it's stupid indentation as code block determination, and JS with it's pseudo OOP. One of the reason, I think, is because they hate Microsoft.

    Also sadly, making web apps is the one who let me put food on my table currently.

    C# is just Microsofts Version of JAVA. Both are bad on terms of modern security/performance requirements.

    This is the case for every language. There's C#, Java, JS, Python etc. fanboys that claim their language is the only way forward purely because they don't want to learn anything else.

    @AlmondSauce python is the absolute winner in being the easiest

    @retoor but performancewise its tje worst similar to perl.

    @max19931 python 3.10 had major performance boost. What do you want to do where python is not fast enough for? It will use clibs like numpy if performance is required

    @max19931 not really.

    That comparison is cuckoo.

    Plus Python has an FFI.

    Which makes things like Polars possible - RUST based Python extensions.

    Regarding C#: it isn't bad.

    But anything from the rotten tree called MS has to be avoided in my opinion.

    Its not really FOSS as long as Microsoft is its dictator.

    @IntrusionCM I really liked the C# I played with. Kinda want to play with it in a game engine.
