I HATE Ostream !!!

I was walking up to my car today to run an errand and as I approached my car, I had this thought in my head - "I am a cartard". I legit started to feel guilt while I was driving.

I hate that ostream made his place in my head without paying rent.

There's no such thing as a "cartard" don't worry about it. Cars are pretty much a societal necessity now, we literally re-built entire city infrastructures to accommodate cars, which in turn resulted in incredible increase in productivity and freedom to travel. The amount of time it can save in some situations is well worth it

It's true that not everyone needs a car, but many people are dependent on them, so to just brush everyone with a car off as a "cartard" is a retarded take on the issue. Ostream is literally mad at everyone and everything, half of the time as a "joke" apparently.

There are arguments to be made why public transport is more eco friendly and cheaper overall, but that doesn't negate the need for a personal vehicle. That's just how our cities are adapter now and let's be honest, in most places the public transport sucks.

it's weird that you only feel guilty, because ostream told you. Were you otherwise thinking cars were the greatest thing on the planet?

Guilt is good, that's exactly how change happens. If not directly, then implicitly, thanks to all sorts of effects and side effects.

    It's about time anyways.

@ostream It's also very basic logic that it moves at speeds of tens of km/hr in some cases hundreds while a human moves at around 5. The noise doesn't matter in 99% of the places (between cities) and the toxic gas is something we're actively trying to solve, which wouldn't happen if we didn't use cars at all. Same as any other tech, it needs to be used for it to get improved. So sit on tights and wait, your children might enjoy much cleaner, quieter, faster and safer travel across the planet if you just let it evolve.
