When someone asks me how I learned so many programming languages

@ignuit jeah, but every other language is an actual programming language, while html is just markup

@xenira you know when you buy new Android phone and shit ton of Google apps are pre loaded in it. That's how when a developer gets born, HTML becomes the language he knows by default.

@Aitkotw but I wouldn't consider someone who knows only html a programmer. Just because I can put a frozen pizza into the oven, doesn't make me a cook.

@xenira I am totally agree with your argument, but no one was born as programmer, I don't want you to consider just first pic as a reference, why don't you scroll a bit, take this entire image and tell me if "programmer" word is suitable or not.

@xenira yes, it's not a programming language, but it's a language that may help someone who knows nothing about programming understand what happens when you change and add "words". What I'm saying is that I type some fancy markup and I get to see the results pretty immediately. For a beginner that can mean a lot.

HTML is forgiving, you can't fuck up in HTML. However in an actual programming language their's syntax that has to be followed. It can be discouraging to see nothing but errors and understand nothing about why they're happening.

@Aitkotw In my opinion there is a difference in the way of thinking. Programming languages usually require logical thinking (loops, conditions...) while html is just giving content. Of course developers are capable of writing html, as they have no problem defining things in text. But I don't see the causality between those things.

@xenira I am starting to feel like you're not trying to understand anything, you just want to keep arguing about it. Everyone knows HTML is freaking mark up language and I don't give a fuck about any programming language, I liked this image and I fucking shared it. That's it !!!

@Aitkotw No need to be offended. I had a lough at that picture but wanted to share my opinion, as I actually started out with c++. I wanted to make my point clear and, to be honest, really enjoyed our discussion. Take it how you will, but ending it like that is just sad 😔
