I know right! Just started Laravel last week and it's amazing. Removing boilerplate is great and lets you just build what you need. I might be making a mistake by deciding to do user authentication last but we'll see.

@TheCapeGreek don't push auth to very last. I would suggest to include it in earlier stage. Doesn't give very huge issue or anything but with basic auth in place, you can use it for your middle wear and view as the default authorization function.
