@kurtr I personally use hackerrank to test all candidates before interviewing them and giving them practical programming tests, so I have an idea of the actual knowledge before going any further

@wildcard Never ever listen to anyone who tries to put you down, I have had the same problem since I was 13, now I am 22 and it still happens, there is only one thing to do in this cases: Success ;).

Simply because most people need to categories others to feel a bit better about themselves, it is one way to avoid the real problems that people who make those assumptions have.

Absolutely no effect, I am completely self-taught, I believe that self teaching and making your own experience are better than any grades to advance your career in tech.
