It’s not that blurry normally -.-
-
@netikras I have yet to discover a way of crocheting that avoids getting my hair and my cats’ fur embedded into whatever I’m crocheting, so I’m hesitant to even think about selling things.
-
And then this was when I was learning mosaic crochet for the first time and decided to do a whole blanket using the technique to prove I could. Design by Ashlee Brotzell
-
@Demolishun He can eat the bugs and spiders outside! He would not peacefully coexist with my two Maine Coon cats!
-
@lorentz Here’s hoping. I will have to resist the temptation to blurt out “I’m sorry I made your daughter a bloody skin suit with teeth! It was an accident!”
(These are gifts for the kids on the event of the kids’ parents’ wedding lol) -
@lorentz Horrifying. You’re right, though, I picked a very unfortunate color palette

@cafecortado I *thought* it was something like that, but I’m pre-caffeine and ADHD meds and my brain was like “nopenopenope”
-
@retoor Sorry for the scare, friend 😅❤️

Put another way:
If neither Monty or you knew where the car was, there’s a 1/3 chance for all the doors.
The probability of the door no one picked and your door being the prize door isn’t 50/50 because your choosing the correct door is independent of Monty choosing the remaining door without a prize.
Scenario 1:
Prize door is A
You pick A
Monty picks B
Switching loses
Scenario 2:
Prize door is A
You pick A
Monty picks C
Switching loses
Scenario 3:
Prize door is A
You pick B
Monty picks C
Switching wins
Scenario 4:
Prize door is A
You pick C
Monty picks B
Switching wins
Fuck now it feels like 50/50 again. I hate this problem so much lol -
@retoor I’m terrible at math, but the way I remember it…
You pick a door. There’s a 1/3 chance the door you picked has a car.
Monty picks a door. Monty knows where the car is and he will never choose a door that has the car because he knows where the car is. So there’s a 0/3 chance that the door he picks is the car.
That leaves a 2/3 chance that the door no one picked is the prize door, because the probability that you picked the prize door doesn’t change when Monty picks a door. -
It depends on if Monty knows what the real door is. If he doesn’t, there’s no value in switching. If he does, he’s always going to show you a door that’s false. I, too, wrote a simulator once upon a time. https://github.com/AmyShackles/...

@Lensflare Well, I went to Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo this year and got to pet and hold a fennec fox, pet and feed a capybara, feed tortoises, and feed goats. So that was awesome.
-
Fun fact, my birthday (Aug 14) is 6 months away from Valentine’s in the same way, which is the only reason I was immediately confused without doing the math. 😂
-
@kiki Sorry to read that, friend. I hope you feel better soon!
-
You okay, friend?
-
You posted 16 twice and 18 twice. At this rate you’re going to run out before you think you’re at 60 and complain to everyone that you were cheated out of meds and we’ll have to patiently point out that you’re just terrible at incrementing by one.
-
@electrineer Fun fact, I have an autocorrect for “shrug” to convert it to ¯\_(ツ)_/ and it’s really annoying every time I want to actually use the word 😂
-
How have you been practicing?
-
@SidTheITGuy Pretty sure we were the ones shackled, not the ones doing the shackling, mate.
-
I don’t have any of those. Unless you count caffeine as a drug dependency.
-
Do you have a habit of storing some other fluid, perhaps?
(I am so sorry for even asking.) -
@Demolishun So the husband and I are finally trying for kids and the other day I learned that there’s a term for pregnancy when the woman is 35 and over. Do you know what the term is?
_GERIATRIC PREGNANCY_.

@jestdotty It was just bad timing. I probably could have been blissfully unaware of the layoff if it weren’t for the fact that I talk to people from work outside work, to be fair.
-
Happy for you, friend!
-
So cool!
-
Ugh, I have another one.
“I’ll just untangle this yarn real fast”
The fuck you will. This yarn is DOOMED.
