						This joke is so old, the last time i saw it Facebook was still relevant
-

						@arjaycodes
 the original idea actually involved just connecting people, creating a channel when both parties wish to have one. Once this "channel" is established I guess we could have any sort of communication over it, chat/voice/files/email/etc. encrypted or unencrypted.

 The idea is that the user gets to easily create and maintain these "end points" or pseudo-phone-numbers that others (people or businesses) can use to contact them. Some misusing it/spamming? Delete the end-point and get a new one.

						I'm hoping Microsoft will actually do it next year for April fool's

						@Seanld I was thinking of having a Python(Django) Backend, and mabye a reactjs web app. I'm quite comfortable with Django, but I've never used react, so thought this would we a good chance to learn that too, although I'm ok with using anything else if it's better for the job

						@Darmark @vityavv, yeah, I meant a random #️⃣numeric/qr
-

						@calmyourtities I'd say there are plenty of people who'd like a platform not crowded with all their relatives and long forgotten high school friends posting updates of every meal they ever have xD
-

						@calmyourtities could be useful for people who are more concerned about privacy, to people who wanna share different parts of their life to selected groups
-

						I'd love to be involved if this actually plays out!
-

						@Crayons leaving a reply cause I'm just as curious

						The lesson I've learned with Linux+nvidia is that if by some luck it happens to work, you let it be and pray it stays that way

						@shauryachats wow that's beautiful. Can we take this chat elsewhere so you can tell me what packages/themes you used to get there?
-

						@shauryachats @jayMcD OK, you've convinced me. What desktop env do you recommend I go with? XFCE or KDE? Or install something else altogether?
-

						@mirnapls didn't like the wondows-esque desktop environment, plus there were some display driver issues that I couldnt fix
-

						How is Manjaro? I've used Ubuntu and mint before and didn't like them for various reasons, have been using Elementary for a few months now, but looking for something some stable, less buggy...

						@jerjer It even has a Chrome extension, and a plug in comes with Firefox by default. Their premium plans are shit tho. Ain't nobody gonna pay for that shit, atleast not where I come from
