My work place won't let us use "outside" products upon base installation of IDEs. I think I am slowly going blind

@skqr my thoughts exactly, I have missed some very stupid thing when I am stressed and half frenzied; also if there was a help desk for using power tools, I think I would be calling them with stupid questions too.

I know the pain. I had a 10ish line code change to do last week. The change and testing took 1.5ish hours. To get the Dev cluster up and running for testing took 3 days.

I remember doing this when I started programming (Jetbrains had a simplify option). Stoped it real quick when I had to rework my project for the next assignment. Debugging is nightmare when you have to dissect these one liners

@katbreitin this. I just started my first job 2 weeks ago, and the beginning of the year is a very busy time for our team(it's when they finish a release). I can't pester the senior devs, my manager have me no run down, I haven't even had an orientation, just access to the code and looking through it. Having a list of what I need to be doing for the first few weeks and A LITTLE DOCUMENTATION ON THE CODE would be very nice.

Looks like my next few months are planned!

To be fair, intellij is not bad, even with projects on gradle. Beefy, but not bad. Android Studio though...

It's like they took out all off the boilerplate code from java and added good features from other languages. Kudos to Jetbrains
