@sunfishcc I don't know about iis, but you can just use kestrel. VS Community and VS Code are both free and installing .Net Core on a Linux machine is really not that hard. You don't need to pay a cent to develop and deploy C# Apps/Services
-
@retard that's, what I tried... with a brand new 10-minute mail
-
How can I reproduce it? I tried with 2 photos, but it didn't work...
-
Even as a .Net developer I have to say: don't do this shit.
-
C# with .net core is gold

@BilboSwaggings The thing is that most companies don't need computer scientists, but developers. But they refuse to even look at anyone, who has 'only' an apprenticeship and has probably more experience with real world applications than a freshly graduated student. And complain afterwards that they don't find any good apprentices.

@aquacash5 that feature has been introduced with vs 2017, so it isn't that old. You can drag the arrow to previous statements as well. A really nice tool together with the editable code on runtime

@ewpratten There are IMHO better ways to make an expression more readable. Like splitting it into several expressions or at least splitting the expression into several lines

You don't live in Germany, do you?

i8
Yes, there were 8 other i vars. This makes it so horrible -
Well, nowadays we use IDEs, which are pretty good at alerting us, when a typo occurred
-
Looks like reflection may be the culprit

++ for danke Merkel

@linuxxx hopefully not. Saturn should get sued and pay for the bullshit they are doing. Although they would come with something like "that's the price for the CD and not for the software license"

Got almost the same background image

Just another marketing intern with his 1 week web development crash course trying to be cool

I know that issue. My guess is that windows does not index anything for performance reasons, e.g. it ignores unknown file types. MS may think that the common windows user wouldn't look after these types of files anyways.
-
Why do you use extra lines for the tags? Even the VS autogenerated comment doesn't do that
-
@xenira well you are right. But a SMS is still better than one of those security questions
-
Learning to write logs: the hard way
-
Nowadays changing an online PW should require some additional authentication like a sms to the users phone. The mail provider here fucked it up

So many choices (+_+) well I installed mint yesterday, but will also look into Arch and it's distributions. Thanks for the advice
-
Yeah, I thought about Arch/Mint as well. Will look into it, thanks
