-
Sharing the file was a 2 minutes task, fuck idiot managers.
-
Logitech MX Mechanical. Very good quality, good features, discrete.
-
@ArcaneEye i did, actually i got a pretty good job! but right now im looking forward switching jobs again jajajaja take a look at my LinkedIn, let me know what do you think! https://linkedin.com/in/whitmanb/
-
@FinlayDaG33k that is a good point, but well, right now im in a special situation where i dont know what title i can wear long term, am i a DevOps Engineer? a Backend Engineer? a Data Scientist? what title i must put on my resume for describe all those skills at once? i really dont know how to apply to other jobs without cutting half of my skills from the resume, and i feel a small startup will trive with someone that can wear many hats as me.
PD: Maybe i must open another rant just for this point -
@toxicslime69 will look over there later, thanks!
-
@kiki @KennethDavidson @F1973 @juanchdzl @ArcaneEye @C0D4 @sbiewald @AlmondSauce @gibus Guys, i fixed my resume, send it, and 5 minutes later i got an interview, now im doing the test project and they say that if i complete it, im hired. Thanks you all!
-
You all guys have lot of reason, i will fix this resume, i will take all the recommendations you mentioned here, thanks for your help!
-
@F1973 i will take your recommendations, i will refine the resume!
-
@N00bPancakes jajajajaja i keep repeating same my self. At least i will have something to say when someone ask me what i learned here: "I learned how not to do my job".
PD: They deploy the services to self hosted gitlab runners, instead of dedicated vps or something else. Yeay, you hear it right, they Host the applications in the machines used to run ci/cd pipelines. Well, in this case, just CD (yeah, they do CD, but no CI)
PD: This Agency is a living Joke -
@craig939393 jajajajajaa, the tip in the cake, they dont even has an API Gateway, every service has its own domain
-
That is half my salary
-
@NoToJavaScript thats is a complete whole topic in this shitty agency. They buy baremetal for not to pay cloud services . . . so you can have an idea of what this bosses has in mind
-
My current company too, they also has minimalistic security in their platform, i can sell exploits if you want jajajaj okno
-
@WeAreMany will be awesome!
-
@Hazarth Im currently a very diverse Developer, my main skillset is Backend Engineer (Python with Django, Flask and FastAPI, several ORMs and lot of other stuff), i know Deep Learning at a very good level (but i stopped updating my skills there due to current job) and soft DevOps ( i like to design systems, specially Microservices architectures) i know Kubernetes at basic level, and wrote lots of CI/CD Pipelines. I have soft Frontend skills, using Vue and Nuxt.
-
@Hazarth Yeah! check my LinkedIn, and my Github
https://linkedin.com/in/whitmanb/
https://github.com/ElPapi42
Ultimately I don't update too much my open projects, bc despite that low wages, they always assign lot of projects with close milestones -
@WeAreMany hello!! Thanks, that will be awesome, you can check my LinkedIn profile, you will see all the updated details of my professional profile there. (My LinkedIn link is on my devRanr profile)
Actually with my brother job, we sum both salaries (more or less 500) and are able to live with our mom, there is always food on the table -
@Hazarth i never underestimate my self, i have true skills and i know the stuff, i will keep applying to new jobs from now, a new batch of applications and see if i got something. I will update mt resume accordingly, Thanks!
-
Stop doing Frontend and go Backend
-
@AleCx04 Thanks Alex!
-
Im planning to bootstrap an startup at this point. If no one want to hire me, i have no more option than create my own stuff
-
@electrineer Thanks for the advice
-
@hashedram the idea is to design a an automated tests strategy that help us to vet the Developers.
My first thought about this is prepare a pool of technical questions about the topics or skills the signing in Developer claim to have, for example:
if the dev say he knows flask, react.js, and vue.js, the automated test will draw 30 technical questions about each skill, that means, the specific Developer must complete an exam with 90 questions. that us very intensive, and it can be mixed with timing for each question and some protections for minimize the risk of cheat. This can be improved further, but this is the basic stuff, what you think? -
@hashedram this is not toptal, toptal is an Agency, as an agency, they assume lot of cost, for hiring and vetting devs. The platform i propose is an Open Source, non lucrative organization that will support the future of hiring processes
-
@SortOfTested hey! i dont like freelancing too! it is broken and a pain, the aim of the platform is not to be a freelancers platform, but developers platform. add your doubts to the reddit post! i will give you response fast!
-
@Lensflare jajajajajaja that must be
-
@DasKoder yeah im thinking same here, but what i can do, right now the local agencies are unreachable, i try to contact like a dozen of them, they seems to be dead, almost no online presence, and surely very little work. Tech in my country is almost dead
-
@yellow-dog hard words man :/
-
@sweetnothings i think on that, but how can a guy with 21yo raise founding without sny connection? its hard
