@AndroidJester I'm mostly using C and trying to make some general function in assembly just for the sake of it and because they're allegedly faster (if you know what you're doing [and I'm not]). The super fun and challenging aspect of this is the total size has to be below 32KB including all sprites and backgrounds. Also the image rendering system is nuts! Each pixel has 4 states so its info takes up 2 bits, so basically images are arrays of bytes and each byte is 4 consecutive pixels.

@webketje I believe that's how it went, but still even the first day calculation is bollocks!
-
@Oktokolo it seems not even ChatGPT can explain this code. You can tell it's trying, but doesn't really make sense.
-
@devphobe it's now part of the architecture
-
Same in Italian
-
@electrineer oh man how did you even got that?
-
@AlgoRythm nice guess! I asked a friend for this specific low budget no hassle setup machine so I could code GameBoy games. Many GB Dev tools come in small .exe so it's just easier with Windows.
-
@electrineer but wait! They have registries!
-
@AvatarOfKaine sorry it was supposed to be Volunteer Fire Fighter because I was too lazy to write it whole
-
Quiet evening turned out smooth
-
@kamen yes we check the truck and gear and then just slack off waiting for a call. On day shift we also do some cleaning and training.
-
@PonySlaystation that's totally the point I guess, I mean, that's why we use ReactJS right?
-
@alexbrooklyn that's right, I don't get mad at the guy for that stuff (because I kinda do the same when heated by debugging), I just can't get ahold of the code with all that padding, so I first need to remove that extra stuff. I guess it's more like a "ritual" for clearing my mind and getting into someone else's code.

Negative lookbehind has always made me uncomfortable

User: password recovery email is not sent!!

"Proceed?" -

Hot or cold, never warm

@alexbrooklyn I knoow I just caan't...
-
@electrineer that's because it could actually have been unironic. I mean I guess the author was really pleased with this outcome seeing how much effort they put in it instead of just googling "js format dates". That's some pride right there I believe!
-
@ScriptCoded I'm a Senior Dev at my company support team, meaning they make someone else write this beautiful code and I get the exciting opportunity to fix some minor issues in it!
For instance, look at this neat code block! Ain't it tidy inside its curly brackets? -
@ScriptCoded that's clearly the code of tomorrow, that's why!
-
@electrineer it's a multiple var definition
-
Who ever said people should like JavaScript in the first place?
-
How does getting Nanoloop to make 32KB big old GameBoy games rank?
-
Ugh that sounds usable
-
*spends half an hour staring at numbers*
-
Ugh `cursor: default;` and `href=""`
-
so accurate...
