There are security holes in cheese?
Damn, I had no idea!
Are there patches available?
How old were the applications btw? -
@SortOfTested my feeling exactly. Very good in getting something working together fast, but the classic "dont ever touch or look under the hood or it will never work again"
I really linke the use case you provided, for start up prototyping -
@rooter I'd rather not tell :D
To be honest, I dont remember it too good, but I guess a week. I would not have reinstalled my editor during the work week for that minor thing, and I probably did it on the weekend -
I actually had a weird bug in an editor once, which did not let my type backticks.
So I copy pasted them from older files when I needed them
Reinstalling the editor fixed it... -
@Demolishun it actually does the opposite.
For example there are many things in C you should do, that make the code more stable/safe, but cost time, and therefor are omitted in comprog. I attended a whole talk on the topic "bad C for good comprog" -
But also:
Where are the internet points!!1!?
Maybe we should be happy about the evident improvment of work conditions?
No, we want rant! -
Also: Despite ff being faster (cant really judge that tbh) there are a lot of sites that are faster under chrome, there was a whole blog about it, in which places sites are just optimized for chrome (or intentionally made worse for ff, say youtube for example, conspiracies, conspiracies everywhere)
-
I wanted to say, that I prefer Firefox but sometimes need the chrome "Performance" tool, but just found out, that it was implemented for firefox as well.
I can change back to ff for work :celebrate: -
Damn thats cool
-
You know the feeling when you discover something new in life that you really enjoy and now you want more? MOAR!!!
Thanks for sharing -
Sweet hacks :D
Congratulations -
@electrineer maybe thats just his/her serial number
Welcome mate! -

-
@uyouthe
Let me donate you 1€ real quick.
100 times a cent -
Botted ++ dont make sense in the first place.
Isnt the main purpose of ++/-- to rank posts for human users?
Also ++ are shown in you notifications, which would classify a ++bomb as spam -
@Nanos Damn thats hillarious. And sad :D
-
@Ranchonyx is that a fuckn dio reference
-
If its the satellite update thingy, I really enjoyed the questions, the whole "how to update/patch medical devices" topic is quite intimidating. Especially if the device cant just be turned on/off/be replaced
-
@linuxxx
Which of your posts do you mean though, I must have missed it -
@linus-torvald
I wasn't planning on correcting him, I wasnt that invested in the thread. But I really disliked his lack of self reflection, a lot of smart people telling him (very politely at first) the shortcomings of his post and him completly disregarding their feedback. -
@linuxxx
Nah, the theabbie post -
Good for you! Deserved break from the home office hell
-
What are you coding btw?
-
Do you suffer more from those people or from the RAM limit though?
-
If you're in old school film-photography 2 months seem like a lot
-
Malicious insider at CF like with the twitter thing recently does sound really bad
-
Revisit old projects of yours and marvel at the great ideas and the strange code
-
I like the "pitch" indicator, imagine a test-framework or compiler or what not that listens to your screams and just re-runs if you reach a certain volume/pitch.
-
I always imagined "Fuuuuuu" to be more like an animated gif than a jpeg.
But anways, "Fuuuuu.*" indeed.
Condolences mate
