@torbuntu wait this is an actual thing? I encountered a LinkedIn profile that had jobtitles flying around like "bitcoin evangelist" and "Social Enterprise Whisperer". I was laughing my balls out of my ass
-
I loved DOOM just for the run and gun, but agree it is indeed not worth a high rating. What I most loved from development perspective is how Mick Gorden tells about making the music for the game on GDC 😝😝

@rutee07 I do, who should I tag?

In all honesty, as someone who prefers GUI I do get a lot of shit from people saying CL is better. I am not judging them, but I am being judged. I kind of agree with that text about the devs GUI shaming. Myself, I think it doesn't matter what you use as long as it gets the fucking job done

Make all the data printable and print it on the printer in his office

"In other words, zero days, often written as 0-days..." this writer is stretching his word count as if he writes a report for college

I was so ready for this story :(

He is really damn happy he wasn't doing "other" stuff

50/50 murders is one of the few books that could keep my attention. I loved it
-
Can we just stop this right here? :P
-
I wish I could come :( would love to meet fellow dutchies of here, but unfortunately i got to work. I also kinda suck at dev knowledge and talks so id probably sit in a corner and be quiet :P perhaps next time?

This is about the 8th time I see this picture on devRant in the last 2 weeks...

Im about to be an intern somewhere. Since I have way too fucking much to learn and way too little experience with working in a business environment instead of college im really happy this is going to happen :)
-
Well thats the first fuck i ever got, are they worth anything? Could use the money... @irene or do you want it?
-
Pretty sure that still scares a lot of people
-
There is way too many "game devs" who only know how to work with unreal engine and think its the only good engine. They have done no fucking research. Not to bless ubisoft to heavens, but what they did with anvil and rainbow six siege is pretty damn insane, not perfect, but damn insane.

Looks like a cool parkour tho :)

Update: I have just done the resit
-
I have just finished the war with pythons tkinter and its' geometry managers, it was a bloody war and made me love CSS more and more
-
Same is with js and python when you want to send a function as argument and put the () behind them. It will just execute instead of pass through. Gave me plenty of headaches.

Well our project is to have a shutter programmed in C and an external Python program that can control it. We work using commands, so in python I send "SCREEN OPEN" on which C responds "STATE OPENING" for example. But if I send "SCREEN CLOSE" (or even the same command for that matter) the C side doesnt seem to handle the command at all :(
-
I am actually working on the project now and am encountering an issue in the serial communication where the first command works fine, but the second one isn't handled properly :(
-
Yeah im currently working on a college project with C as well. Trying to get the communication between python and C to work. But holybbqs this is hard if you have done C for about 2 weeks. Finally got a semistable receiving of commands and sending responses, but then comes the simple get and set functions for some variables that seem to work, but just dont seem to work.

I install windows :D

@Michelle just like the classy "great weather" and such, even though everbody knows that the best weather is closed curtains

Im studying software engineering, 3rd year and we still havent ever even talked about testing other than run the application and see if it works. Im scared for the workingfield right now :/ also sleep is for the weak, but im weak so goodnight all of you
