Should be self-documenting...
-
@TobyAsE I agree. Code should document itself unless some really complicated logic occurs.
-
Come to the dark side, we have cookies!
-
@danielspaniol Yeah it's like comparing Java and Javascript.
-
Visual Studio Code != Visual Studio
-
@TheCapeGreek Heck yeah man! I'm looking to set up an emulator on my PC so I can remember all the nostalgic moments.
-
@TheCapeGreek Greatest soundtrack known to man my friend.
-
Old game soundtracks are great. I particularly love Spyro the Dragon's soundtrack.
-
@jerodev That's probably because your comments are unnecessary. Code should tell its own story in variable and function names that tell what the code does.
-
For the most part your code should document itself.
-
@Biggy Nvidia typically only updates it's drivers for Windows because they believe their cards are only for performance/gaming so the drivers for other OS are either hardly updated or nonexistent.
-
@Biggy Well I would go with an AMD Ryzen CPU and an Nvidia GTX 1070 if you can find one, since a lot of digital currency miners are picking them up and driving prices up.
-
CPU: depends, are you on a budget?
If(budget) return AMD
else return intel
I personally went with an AMD Ryzen because it's a higher grade of performance for a lot better price per core/thread.
GPU: I personally like Nvidia because they have the best architecture for performance currently. If you're on a tighter budget get AMD for both CPU and GPU. -
@bestter I have one and many times just rub the smooth side because it's very calming.
-
I know this feel all too well

I bet the next half of the conversation went like this:
You: "Well what language is a programming language?"
Friend: "HTML"
You: *repeatedly bashes friend's face with keyboard* -
As much you hate the front-end, you'll always work on it somehow. Code, code never changes.
-
You should have added "from people who barely know I exist" lol
-
It depends on the language actually. C# you should use the right style, but Java uses the left style.
-
They may be waiting on approval from a hiring manager to email you or something. Business processes are so backwards.
-
When non-devs pretend they know development...

Formatting is key.

@AwkwardBanana No problem man! Us devs gotta help each other out!
-
@AwkwardBanana haha thanks man!

I know this feel all too well

60% of the time it works every time.
-
Just keep pushing man! I'm a senior and while some of the uni experience is useless in the real world, the degree will be well worth it.
-
2. Have to know WHAT I'm coding before I try to code it.

Now you just have to combine your knowledge to make a website project. At work I use PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS to make our websites. We also use jQuery for a lot of our JS.
