Gave me a career when I wasn't looking for one. Graduated with a mathematics and Management Science double major. Started as a data analyst and a Java architect saw something in me and gave me a shot. He was a dick at first and we had a minor squabble in which I defended myself and I thought I was done there. I later apologized and said I didn't have to because I was sticking up for myself.

I hated programming in college. Found it boring and thought I could teach myself if I wanted to. So in the real world, the problem solving and the variety of languages and software to work on opened up my eyes and allowed me to follow though my career.

For that I get a sweet paycheck, tons of opportunities and my children get to have and do things I never had the opportunity to do as a child.

I moved to US a month ago and now I work as a steward in a hotel but I hate this job so fucking much. The fact that I know how to code and work in this shitty job feels like I lose chromosomes every second I work there. I just really wish I could work on what I love and code a lot. When I'm at work I listen to programming podcasts (I listen to this app podcasts too) and just think about the internship I'm doing. Code is always running in my head and it all feels like I waste my time even doe I need it for now until I can have enough money to move to another state. I hope this situation changes for the better.

Yesterday I received the API documentation from an external company. Over half of the endpoints are either wrong or send invalid data and even the given test requests are fucking failing.
It's a nightmare. We have to finish a website until friday and that company did nothing for 2 months and now we have 2 days left.
The sheer incompetence is too damn high.
My boss said it would have been much better if we had implemented the API on our own. Damn right.

Remember the WebDev guy from my last inspirational "rant"?

Well he called me and he somehow found a Support scammer

so I went over to his place and setup our "how to destroy a scammer's computer" kit which we got from a couple of friends in Discord and waited for the scammer to call.

And at long last, the scammer called,He setup a VM while I find his IP and RAT his computer, then went on to find other computers and check if they reside on the same LAN network.

at that point WebDev guy asked me "what are you planning to do?"

"Tell him this is your banking app" while presenting him a virus executable. "Don't click on that though". So he did, and they began the transfer and once the scammer clicked it on his computer (I was observing via RDP), we lost connection to the scammer's computer so I assumed the thing worked.

We were laughing our asses while in the middle of this fuckery.
