@Lensflare i don’t think you can compare HTML,CSS, JS to objective C UIKit and Swift in that way
-
@Root there are always multiple sources to the burnout. You have to somehow manage your thoughts and expectations around them. Start meditating, living in the now. Put your phone and anything digital away, drink less coffee, start working out, yadayada. I have a wife in a burn out atm. I have taken sick leave and been through a crisises before too. After losing my jon somehow i always found something better afterwards. Might have taken 6 months and 100+ applications but still!
-
If really burned out, call in sick. There is no shame in putting yourself and your health at #1. Screw your work, you have a lot of things on your mind and or are scared to loose your job. I get it. You are not alone in this.
Stay strong! -
The other day i changed two lines of code to fix a bug we were busy with for at least a day. Better measure tickets and estimated effort of those
-
@ArnulfoSchimmel agreed, in hindsight i should have left that previous place about one year earlier.
-
My ocd mind want consistency. Consistency is key.
-
@antigermanist @antigermanist i chose webpack because i have the most experience with it. I know vitejs as well but im not sure its the best choice for a .net based environment
-
@devRancid tell 2015 no worries. This project needs an update since 2013 already
-
The whole scheiss is c#/telerik Kendo based.
-
Im mainly focusing on frontend. Kendo is ok generally. Im a bit lost between what we have build and the initial demo i had.
-
@tosensei i see you joined the dark side. How are their cookies?
-
Until you find out the bicycle business only pays half of your current salary. Been there.
-
@atheist never!
-
Got the rejection today. Wasn’t interested any way.
-
@Demolishun Geronimo!
-
@Demolishun i run too quick and thus make mistakes because i don’t think and just build/deploy.
Nobody has time to think nowadays right? -
@helloworld haha honest mistake!
-
The magic unicorn everyone is looking for. 10 years of experience and at least 5 with angular react and vue. Also please be able to write apis setup wordpress, write sql and do some ux/ui on the side. We’ll pay you $2500 deal?
-
I once was hired and when i started indeed did not have a pc. I had to start on a pc of someone who was out sick. Later i got an old knockoff. I kept begging for more memory until i had to leave the company again.
Shitshow first class -
Lol. I gave a company a tip on they applying form that wasn’t working. Still i wasn’t the guy they where looking for
-
Better lead a team then being downgraded to master of Confluence.
-
Hey i’m on a 3 year streak and about to loose my 6th adoption family.
-
If you commited to a deadline you have to commit to the deadline. Even the junior at our office was still working after 10pm. My wife works from around 8am to 8pm.
Im once again thinking of leaving early and i already know i’m probably gonna fail. -
@Root wish i had FLOP quota in my job experiences.
-
Never trust recruiters unless you absolutely have to. They truly are the scum of the earth.
-
@lorentz that is smart!
-
@DamoMac i swear i played with this idea as well!
-
It’s been a while for myself but i went to the same situation. Jobless for 6 months and applied to 100+ companies. Went to countless talks, sometimes without even getting any feedback at all. I get pretty shot pay now but at least i have a job :). Pick up yourself keep getting at it. Keep learning. You’ll find yours!
-
Also try publishing the app in the app store. That will that you another month at least!
-
Haha developing ios apps is a hell. Especially the emulators they where never correct. Always 1 or 2px off
