Yeah I think it is illegal. They must at least accept you responding with the word "unsubscribe" if I remember right. I would just report it as spam and let your mail client fliter it out. It'll hurt their reputation a bit too, which they absolutely disserve for such shaddy practices.

@iam13islucky can't tell you exactly but I can say it's codename was Zeus. Good God the jshintrc file was so full. All kinds a of wacky settings. I don't miss that.
