Good luck!

It's like a heat map or something. Amazing.

You must put this in your head as a switch of career, not a promotion as you said.
In our company, switch to managerial position is treated as such, and everyone who is offered that switch gets a really good explanation of this. After a discussion, lots of developers decide to stay at their current position. Not everyone is good at being a manager, the same as not everyone is good at being a developer.
I used to be a developer now I'm a CTO and after couple of years I still enjoy it.
So my advice to you is, go for it, but always have in mind that you switched job, not upgraded it. If you feel it's not for you, you can always go back coding. -

@cylex can you please verify me, thanks.
-
Amazing. :)
-
This usually hapens in overrides.scss file, when a developer is too lazy to do the fixes in appropriate file instead. When I see overrides.scss I usually take a deep breath before opening it.
-
Congratulations and good luck.
-
Awesome. :) I'll definitely use it.
-
But don't throw away books. Use them along with devrant.
-
Since you mentioned it: keeweb is electron client for keepass.
-
Which app (of course, if it's true at all)?
-
Well done! :)
-
I agree too.
-
One would say it can't get any worse. But experience tought us different. So yeah, it probably can go a little worserer. :)
-
I also have friends who are not in dev and I'm not able to show them my code. But on the other hand it sometimes feel good to talk about random stuff. If I'd had only dev people for my friends, I'm affraid that would be the only thing we'd be talking about. 😊
-
Nuts. I eat a lot of nuts of all sorts while I work. Helps me not going nuts because of clients, I'm full of nuts already. 😏
-
Greenland 😌 Still on my travel list. Enjoy your stay there!

I agree with @PerfectAsshole. If you start learning by writing on paper, your solutions are better thought out and you will learn more. And to check your solution you will have to go line by line instead of compile&fail until you succeed.
-
So true. And you can see that the new project doesn't even look better. It's just .. It's new.
-
I'm a dev and I have things to rant about. devRant found me.
-
@BixelPitch wish I'd knew that an hour ago.
-
That screen is for code, not rants. 🙄
-
Fair enough, you're right. I have to get used to this ranting, now that I look at it, my rant wasn't a rant at all. 😣 I'll improve, and write a proper rant. Sorry for beging for points.
-
Way to go! Congratulations! 🤓

There was a journey for your boss to get to the title of experienced developer. On this journey, he was probably asking a lot. The downside is that on the way, he obviously became arrogant.
Don't let this kill you and never accept the fact that you shouldn't be asking, cause you should.
Good luck on your journey! -
Well, at least one good usage of that logo.
