Aurelia is actually the next version of Durandal.js made by Rob Eisenberg. If you check the state of JavaScript 2018 it's there and actually pretty strong as it ranks at nr. 8 on the Frontend frameworks. Pretty solid with 11k stars on GitHub.

Basically on that price range you should be able to get a core i5 with 8g RAM 256g SSD and full HD Display. A cheap solution is an HP 250 G6 or for a better quality I would go for Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro. Great build quality and Mac "inspired" design.

@nanos Tools of Titans is a good read. Boosts motivation which is key to try/work harder. It also gives some good insights that sometimes you have to utilise your connections. It doesn't matter so much what you know, but who you know.

I had exact the same issue a while ago. Named it login loop of hell.

My old Sony Vaio has a plastic "leather" looking finish and with the heat has almost peeled off. Btw that's a replacement. Can't replace it again though as Sony has stopped making laptops. 😁 To be fair, for an 8 years old laptop, it runs Ubuntu smoothly.
