And in 2016 that reason is nil unless it's an XP box in the corner for print jobs or one that's completely cut off from all network activity, and that shouldn't be a developer issue. I've worked with several large companies for various reasons and even the archaic sloth-like companies are on Windows 7 now. XP is 15 years old. If your corporate software is still on XP, I see that as a failure of both the company developers AND IT. There's simply no reason. Reasons for having XP today? Laziness.
-
@drRoss unless the pay is otherworldly, nobody should be forced to deal with XP today. And that'd be something I would certainly be willing to take higher up the food chain than IT.
-
@phantomDuckling that's when you secretly bring another boot drive and install Windows 7 with the key on the side of the box. IT coming? Boot into Windows XP. Doing some actual work? Boot into Windows 7/Linux. Extra boot drives are fantastic.

When coding it's not about Apple. It's Unix. It's just a great machine to code on.
-
Dear God. f-disk.
-
Had some friends try to update today and it bricked their 6+. Nice rollout so far.
-
iPhone 7 with LPDDR4 RAM and NVMe storage? lol. 2GB is fine, especially with that screen resolution. Lower resolution UI assets and massive SoC bandwidth, not even remotely a problem.
-
@localdam don't tell me what to do! /s

Vinyl is nice and all, but that doesn't negate the fact that it's Bluetooth or nah in your car now. I also work a lot of live events and I don't think I could do without my 3.5 jack. I use a Note 5 because the DAC, but my Nexus 6P ain't going anywhere either.
-
@pepo900 no, Apple will never add it back. That's who they are. They would rather use their massive like of cash and influence every headphone manufacturer on the planet to make a lightning version. Apple really does have that kind of cash.
-
That's one of the things I really enjoyed about the Airpods. That charging case is bad ass.
-
If lightning was a standard port, I wouldn't have a problem. Apple should have moved to USB-C. Either that or go all in on Lightning, open the port standard, and put that port on the MacBook.
-
No problem! I think they're still fine tuning it, actually. The Nexus 6P is having some serious battery drain problems. The 5X is oddly fine with the update to 7.0.
-
It should, security wise. The implementation in past versions of Android were terrible. Security was wide open. 7.0 carves up media server and puts much more granular permissions in place.
-
Yep. 7.0 has the new mediaserver architecture.
-
Well, they finally carved it up. Took long enough.
-
That red bull sitting on the MacBook is making me really nervous.
-
I know. I was so pissed. Not even a mention of a refresh.
-
I see a bunch of people criticizing these. They're actually a steal for what they are and I think they look great! Samsung's similar fully wireless earbuds are $200.

All aboard the struggle bus!

Looks like a Lenovo Y50-70 or a new Y700. Nice. How are your display hinges holding up?
-
You should capture a logcat.
-
Any app updates recently?
-
Well in Windows 7 it showed all cores, hyperthreaded or not. so you have a single core with not HT. I feel for you. :/
-
Single core??
-
Sublime? Atom.
-
Where will take my money for this fine item?
-
iMessage, touchpad, gestures, build quality... hell, my main computer for work is a MacBook Air and it handles things without skipping a beat. I compile on a Dell Precision though.

Bose AE2 Bluetooth headphones. If I use them corded, I have a FiiO E12 headphone amplifier that really brings them to life.
