Eclipse has the big advantage that it is very lightweight compared to other Java and Android IDEs. It is in the middle between a text editor with syntax highlighting and a bloated IDE like IntelliJ or even Netbeans. And in terms of bugs I have to say that I have been using it for about 3 years and I can't remember that it crashed even once.

I prefer to use Molokai because it has a higher contrast between the different colors and the background. If it is not available I tend to use Solarized Dark.

Remove the Windows 10 and then add something that does not fuck you at the next restart with broken updates.
Like Linux
Or even Windows 7 -
Yea that's the joke mate
-
I don't recommend Ubuntu, since the latest version still uses Unity as a desktop environment and that is pretty fucked.
I would recommend using Linux Mint with the Cinnamon DE or Kubuntu, which uses the KDE Plasma Desktop. Those are both more classic and effective desktop environments and they are easy to get used to when coming from Windows. -
I use both :O
For most cases I use the right one since I do a lot of Java, but when programming C/C++ I like to use the left one since it is the GNU C standard -
@mk3d Yes it can. It can make things complicated but it is very much possible and if used properly it can be a powerful tool. (First Google link: http://cprogramming.com/tutorial/... )

Well I guess that for the other games the bottle neck is the GPU but for Unreal Tournament the CPU is the limiting factor. So when you improve the CPU efficiency it won't affect games that are only limited by the GPU.
-
If you used windows before I can highly recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon. It is also based on Ubuntu, but its UI is pretty much like windows. So you can start right away and focus on more important things without having to deal with a strange UI like Unity in Ubuntu.
-
They both suck hard and I hate them but at least you can do gaming on Windows. For almost everything else Linux is king.
-
@TheHatBandit Yeah I know :)
But wrong parts in the kit are kinda fucked up. I knew that the quality wouldn't be perfect but that I didn't expect :P
Anyway I will finish it today with a temporary fix that will limit the print height, but at least I should get it running this way. -
@zedchoo Calculators are for noobs. Pros calculate this without wolfram.
-
@jlave215 I realised that afterwards :P
It has been a while since I did integral calculus, so I just used the simple and obvious way. You could also just substitute the 5y +9 which would make it a lot shorter. -
There you go.
-
Too easy!
-
@darkfire000 Ok forget the cert thing. On my laptop it's fine. Idk what my smartphone wants in terms of "untrustworthy certificate"
-
@linuxer4fun But this site seams to be still active! There is a new announcement for juli 21. And somehow they fucked up the TLS certs
-
@linuxer4fun Funny how things connect together :P
-
@linuxer4fun Is that a joke or are you serious? I am not sure :O
-
@linuxer4fun That is so annoying! Every time I type Ubuntu in Google and click on the first link without thinking I see that fucking crap :S
-
@darkfire000 Also if you would do that, imho you would be the asshole here. (No offense)
-
@sid-nerd I see it exactly like @helloworld. If there is any problem with this it would be between the brother and the company and it has nothing to do with you. Playing the ethic police won't do any good. Also would you really risk serious consequences for him just because you feel that it is unethical?
-
@darddan In php you can easily create scripted backend programms for all web servers. With Java / Python / JavaScript (NodeJS I guess) you either use a completely different approach or you do it in a CGI like way and then you can just use practically every language.
-
The problem is that you don't use JavaScript/Python/Java not in the same way as you would use PHP
-
@OttkO My programming skills are so high that my software turns into Hardware
-
Fuck unit tests. I just test the shit by hand xD
-
And one more
-
Lol that is exactly how I do it: Well if I do this it will cost extra because I have no idea what the fuck to do
-
Job: Student/Android developer/I develop everything when I get paid enough
OS: -PC: Manjaro KDE/Windows 7 (dual boot)
-Laptop: Manjaro KDE/Windows 10
I use Linux for most of the working stuff, but sometimes you need Windows too. Also Windows 10 on the laptop just for touch support. -
