If I remember correctly, you don’t even need the -z option to untar. Also that -v option I find pretty useless too.
I use ‘tar czf abc.tgz cute-chick.png’ and ‘tar xf abc.tgz’
It’s only hard if you make it hard. -
Nobody mentioned marquee yet or sounds. Defs missing a tap tone for every digit at least!
-
Maybe what they mean is “you can start working here, but we haven’t heard that they will pay any salary”
Wouldn’t surprise me these days tbh -
@fullstackcircus which would be too much, at least for many, including me. time is worth more. (There has never a report of one’s death bed saying “I wish I had worked more”)
-
You’re not lying if you’re describing the necessary work. Just before you implement it, get the (hopefully declined) permission from the top dogs.
-
Get yourself a break from the circus man, you deserve it. And I’m pretty certain you’ll not regret it. And hopefully not get back to that circus. No point in wasting your time until you’re properly burned out.
I feel you’ll get a new job easily, get a remote one, 20/h week, go travel around slowly. -
Couldn’t you make a triangle sorta thing ? Like grab two stitches at a time for one row and then you should be half the width…
-
Also, scrolling horizontally would remove all the code on the left, only to read a couple parameters. I don’t like that.
Usually I have word wrap on in my vim, so I don’t care too much which version to use. I usually just go with whatever the linter thinks is good for the language. -
What does the card say?

@mansur85 yeah, why is npm worse then?
@benj I do agree that it’s trivial to publish an npm package. But it is rather hard to get people to use it, ie build a community around it. Once you have a community and maintainers, etc, it gets harder to publish malicious code, because more eyes are watching.
Again, this is ecosystem and language agnostic.
Sure it might be easier for bug to be present if you have a build system of many tools, but that is similar to even auto tools or cmake, make, ninja, … -
@benj I see, I agree that this is an issue, but the fact is that we need to just live with. I don’t see npm being worse than pypi, CTAN, any C library, heck open source in its entirety.
So I wonder why do people shit on npm that much? -
I really don’t get what the problem is. No one complains that a 4K movie is 25GB…
-
If you’re not forced to use react, then code it yourself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
@Linux according to Wikipedia PUBG is 1. Then Minecraft on 2, followed by Terraria and Diablo III
-
I think CPP should be banned -.-
I just can’t get around this syntax.
#unpopularopinion -
@sbiewald yes, but then also, I like beelefeld 🐝🐝🍯🍯

Granted though, old mate is thinking out of the box. Maybe he should be an entrapreneur and see his own start up going rock-bottom instantly
-
How bout „she/him“
-
@neolium of the offer or if the extension?
-
@boombodies yes, you should have been digging more tunnels for ages!

[Bot] Prayer has been sent.

Did you include a MWE and is the question clearly stated and answerable ?

Closed #9006. Works on my machine.

What’s the presentation about ? Procrastination ? That would be funny if you just turn up there with five empty slides and a todo slide 😇😅
-
@soull00t wow wow wow, that is pretty Epic!
-
I want this for C and TS 😂
Heck, all languages need that. A random insult like the bash insulter. -
@hjk101 I see what you did there
@fishfork well “as possible” implies to me: “well, next month then is as soon, because well, it simply ain’t possible before that” -
Yeah, I ask them to order the tasks. I can’t work on both at the same time. You choose which one I do first. I’ll await your decision and then start working on the ordered-first one.
-
@AleCx04 I found nodejs with typescript alright; less configuration imo. But it’s with all stacks I assume, the more you are familiar with it, the less struggle it is the the boilerplate.
What annoys me is the fuck ton of JVM parameters, classpaths, versions, byte code incompatibilities, generated sources, then you gotta point the ide to the right folders to compile the project.
Then you get it done once, and you forget, and can’t set it up next time… -
Yeah, nice! And then let’s deploy on Friday 4pm!
Some people just want to see the world burn. -.-
