And if I'm not mistaken, AMD was first to market a 64bit chip to The Rest Of Us, so it used to be that Intel was x86 and AMD x64, reliably. It took a very long time for me to upgrade my 64-bit Intel machine to a 64-bit kernel because, "I don't have an AMD chip, so x64 doesn't apply to me."

@Letmecode Female here. Not a fan of the "rape face" comment but I don't see "anal sex" as specifically hostile towards women. Maybe that one woman. I'm open to discussing. This is DevRANT - there's going to be hostility expressed!

That said, also not a fan of downvoting someone raising objection to those things. Lord knows we women in tech get more than our ration of crap for simply being women in this space. I totally get her objection, whether or not I agree with it. She doesn't deserve to be beat up for it.

Yeah I used to work for "that employer" too. Emphasis on the "used to". In my working life I have found that policies like that are the tip of the iceberg of crap you are not going to want to deal with in the long term
