Everybody does their job with tools that are needed: some need programming languages, and some need html and css. What's your problem here? Do you feel worse because of that? Maybe invest some of your time into Javascript.

It was not about difficulty of the code, but the space available on the cartridge in my opinion. For the same reason bushes use the same sprite as clouds.

@tytho If you take a screenshot of a vector image, the screenshot itself is just raster graphics, therefore it will looke like that after stretching.
