I can relate. No north star guidance here. Just steer towards any star they see, as well as any living creature, plant or pebble the HiPPOs aboard this ship can spot.
-
Why not multiply with Golden Ratio instead (1.61803...)? Much more natural, don't you think :)
-
Beautiful rant!
-
@HelloUglyWorld aha! Yep, I've experienced that being a problem years ago, resulting in unwanted characters in the beginning of the file. But I don't think it is the reason now. The file encoding wouldn't change from one save to the next.
-
@HelloUglyWorld I did have <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> in my header, but apparently I had put the link to my CSS file above it. I suspect it might be closer to the cause than that stupid space-before-; (although fixing that seemed to do the trick)
-
Dafuq?!
It turned out to be a space before the ; in one of my SCSS-files which apparently creeped out the final CSS. Although it did validate @ W3C, Google didn't like it. -
@BambuSource I assume it was something I did, as I didn't have the problem before recently.

Wtf SwiftKey? I type mostly in Norwegian, or local slang - and some English of course. My love to my wife is typically committed using slang. So this following entry must be SwiftKey knowing my inner feelings and recent lack of devotion to DevRant.
I love you and I miss you so much and I hope you have a good day and I will talk to you soon and I hope you have a great day and I will talk to you soon and I hope you have a great day and I will talk to you soon -
@itsdaniel0 Certain form tags, such as fieldset and button.
-
@kerambit I'm too busy watching snowflakes to even think about that 😂
-
@Voxera Ah. Then maybe their order system for labels and ink is better than their drivers section?
-
I've tried to like it multiple times. In my experience, it is only drinkable when mixed with liquor.
-
What about a 301, with a map to its new location?
-
@jobylie Right, and by not be able to open it I would guess I didn't have access. Maybe I'm too old school here. If the key had an rfid chip or something to remotely unlock the door without actually having to access the lock, I think I would like it. But if it only shows a smiling / frowning face after you try to unlock a lock, I find the usability quite limited.
-
Like you wouldn't notice when trying to unlock the door? 🙄
-
... So how did you deliver your project, then? On paper?
-
I didn't understand why there suddenly were all those red specks over my keyboard. I hadn't eaten any jam nor jelly.
Then I found papercut-size cuts on my fingers. And I have no idea what caused them. All I know is that I didn't have any before going to work. -
Hey, let's not discriminate by age now, shall we?
-
@demiko So, like, be a robot; shut up; do your job; leave your personal life at home?
-
@freshlyfe Yep, I do. I eventually quit and left those ignorant aholes.
-
At least people take notice of you! It could be worse.
-
@SZenC I haven't tried anything else but my Bose QuietComfort ones. Sometimes I just put them on, activate the noise canceling and listen to nothing but silence. No music, no radio. Just silence.
-
Buy a pair of noise canceling headphones!
-
You'll do fine! 👍
-
Quit. They aren't worth it. Find something else. Something better!
-
What is this "friends" you keep discussing? 😝
-
Oh, how many email recipients I've encountered that apparently can't read. I feel you!
-
@Rahul0596 The last time I used it, it went from syrup to just stalling. I hope they improved file handling since I used it, as I liked it quite well except for the file handling issues.
-
Brackets used to suck on large projects with many files and folders. I dumped it for Atom.
-
@Mayhem93 I agree. It's your skills that matter, not how or where you acquired them.
