oof, too late
ahh well here's SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: BATTLE FOR BIKINI BOTTOM - REHYDRATED since I already have it on steam
R9VKJ-40AWI-EHRW7 -
@AvatarOfKaine lol fair enough
I don't know what you mean with that Zimmerman thing? -
@AvatarOfKaine cool I think I know where Strabane is
I've been in Pittsburgh all my life lol, so I don't know any different. Never needed to get situated anywhere else yet
Where you at currently? You like it there better? -
@AvatarOfKaine I don't know what you mean with that lol. I'm in Pittsburgh yes
-
@AvatarOfKaine same until I started this job last year, now I've encountered ANSI, utf8, utf8-bom, utf16, utf16-bom, I'm waiting to see utf32 lol
Last week I had an issue where a c# program preserved non-latin characters on windows 10 but not on the main processing server.
The issue had to do with 'endianness' a new term I still don't fully understand but the solution was to make the C# code read the input file using 'BigEndianUnicode' to preserve the special characters. -
@PonySlaystation I don't like cpanel myself. I host my site on a DigitalOcean droplet with NGinX as the webserver
But for people like my friend I think it's easier for them for the most part -

@daniel-wu I use that on my personal computer. But I'm not allowed to install it on my work device sadly
-
@hjk101 I hadn't heard of RPA before, It looks interesting, and i'll definitely see if it would work better.
-
@PaperTrail well for example we compare files A LOT using winmerge, and with the folder structure of the server it would take me a minimum of 6 or 7 clicks to select the files for comparison. I found win merge had a CLI and that i could automate that in either Batch or Powershell, since most of our 'work scripts' are already batch i decided to do powershell just to differentiate.
Or times where we work with excel files, and need to manipulate the data in a simple way. I was taught to do the changes by opening excel, manually changing things, and then saving as CSV. I found I could do the changes with powershell with the exact same results as doing it manually, and they already had a program written years ago to convert to csv (i do need to fix it eventually though cause everyone complains about that program)
Just simple time saving things like that where I was shown the manual process but there's a faster process that saves even just a couple of click like 20 times a day -
@atheist use it at home, not allowed at work
-
@melezorus34 that's actually a pretty good example of my structure, but sadly none of my projects are million dollar ideas lol
-
@vintprox Actually this works perfectly, the parent folders each have about 56 subfolders of projects with distinct names so that's not good.
But I'm willing to rename the folders myself as I setup the projects, I don't know how I didn't see that part of the documentation when I was first reading it. -
@C0D4 I don't mean to I'm just bad at wording things. In a reply on here I mentioned they only learn enough when needed and don't really go into programming unless they have to. So that's what makes it difficult to bounce ideas specifically off them.
-
@rEaL-jAsE self taught is cool. But they're only so far as what's needed when it is. They're not going really into programming which is my issue with bouncing ideas off them
I hope no one thinks I'm criticizing self taught programmers in general. 😅😅😅😅 -
@iiii I'm using a triple rad AIO which is now on my new cpu which is apparently hotter. But it's doing just fine.
But my dad asked for the old parts so when he uses them I'll mention he should check the temps over some time. You might be right idk. We'll see lol -
Is there a story behind this declaration
-
@LotsOfCaffeine lol speaking of that. My boss messaged me the day I submitted the project to get reviewed asking me to not take the criticism personally if the review was immensely critical
But I'm already aware I'm a lot newer to the programming field than the person reviewing it. So I know there's a lot to learn and any criticism is just to help me get better so getting upset would just waste time and energy -
@Xoka VSCode is a different software. I'm pretty sure its licensed as Freeware by Microsoft so you should be fine using it
-
@Demolishun yeah 😅😅 I never realized i was that bad until today
-
@JsonBoa it does but I just want it separated more. Cause this is a game server I'm letting my friends join. And having it on a vm makes me feel better
If it was just me I'd do it without vm. But I want it more isolated just because -
@JsonBoa i know. But I don't want this on my machine. I want it on my server but away from my other server stuff.
-
@demortes if I had thought of it lol 😅😅😅
-
@sariel no but i did find it eventually by getting a brain and googling "raspistill alternative" first result mentions fswebcam which brought it back to me I'm such an idiots sometimes
I put a note in my home directory on the pi for next time lol -
@NoOneCares yeah it is. I have no idea why though. Lol so I just ignore it
-
@asgs mixed feelings are gone
after I left today I get an email with her blaming me for everything that caused me to leaving and saying that I shouldn't have expected to be 'babysat'. -_- completely ignoring all I fucking did for her damn company outside my job description this past year most of the time during one of her 6 damn vacations within the past 10 months
so yeah no more mixed feelings now just pissed and trying not to flip out in anger -
@kwilliams lol my hobbies usually don't stress me, cause if they start to I can just move to a different one for a little bit.
Can't do that with work usually -
@petergriffin yeah its the ender3 V2
I got it months ago and planned to do mods beyond the bltouch I added, but work got worse and in the way. Hoping to start modding soon. But currently just working on getting prints to look ok -
@Root Awesome 😄 I think its cool. Good luck toying with it 😄
-
btw this is a different 40 year old lady then who i complained about a few rants ago
This time it's the company owner and my direct boss who is less technically literate than a 5 year old who was just handed a laptop
