@MurmeltierS time to switch to a $5/month siteground plan.
-
@Teabagging4Life really? The stated reason is that they would lose millions of dollars and AMD would just steal their tech. I mean holy shit.
-
@Teabagging4Life there is a reason why Nvidia won't open source their drivers. If you think AMD beats Nvidia in any capacity I've got some bad news for you.
-
@Haxk20 I mean I've seen some reaching before but saying you get better FPS with open source AMD drivers on Linux vs proprietary drivers on Windows is like saying you can outrun a Ferrari with a scooter.
That is some koolaid-level mental gymnastics. -
Happy birthday. We share the same birthday :)
Except I'm a geezer compared to you. -
@kenogo dude, windows doesn't just beat Linux because of game availability. There is also the whole hardware driver thing...
This guy literally said in a video that benchmarks don't matter. I mean if you're so far deep into the cult that your name is the "Linux gamer", you've got some issues to work through.
Linux is best used for development and servers, and that's pretty much it. Enjoy your mahjong running on the nouveau driver tho. -
@billgates the legs are metal and the surface is E1 wood. So yeah...similar to dining tables.
Should be a decent upgrade from my $50 Walmart tables. -
@terraria99 the problem is that the fragmentation exists at the OS level. For example, in order to turn off vibrations you literally have to do it in every app. Same for peeking, and that's only if the developer has implemented that into their app.
One of the most disgusting things I've seen recently was that in order to silence hangouts vibrations, you had to do it for each individual conversation you had.
Android has a big problem with fragmentation. Some of their UI design decisions as of late are also similarly alarming. As for hardware...they couldn't get that nailed on their flagship either. *Cough* 4gb of ram *cough*.
I'm hoping someone comes in and tells them that putting OS-level settings in the hands of the developer is a bad idea, perhaps hire a UI manager that follows standards, and consider putting better hardware in a $1000 phone.
Too much apple, not enough beet. -
My OCD allows me to spend more time refactoring naming conventions than actually getting functionality completed.

I caved and bought myself some folding wooden desks to replace my folding plastic desks. 😬

Because they haven't transitioned from vanilla to jquery yet. 😁
-
They're making you use edge? I'll pray for you.

This comment could not be loaded because the generic driver shipped with this distro does not support the use of punctuation or Unicode characters. Please spend the next half hour googling terminal commands to rectify the situation and try again. 🐢
