try upnp most today's router hav that ... thats what programs like utorrent use to forward their port .. and what do you mean by i have linux , do you hav ssh access to router ...i don't think having linux on your pc help

@fidellr ya it been 6-7 month its runnin smoothly, if i was on Ubuntu or mint would hav broke two time already. :P (assuming you r talking about solus)

arch for starting could be overwhelming (but is fast way to learn) so most prefer manjaro or Antergos both are arch variant latter is gaining lot of popularity now a days i personally use solus and is really good, Ubuntu, mint are crap thank god u decided to rise above that. best of luck.

@b-atanasov i don't like gnome either but i installed it my couple of friends in class n they really dig it especially hot corner to switch windows. and unity, i don't think i need to say anything it..... good advice would be try all flavors of de and settle on you like and your hardware. you don't hav to settle in one ms provides like in windows .

get game engine and its tutorial with c++ support after 4-5 hrs of learning you could start making flappy bird xD .... udemy or some another learning site hav comprehensive tutorial on unreal engine i think.
