Sublime text has been my post it for years now, I forgot how to use anything else. I am literally at a point where I write all my documents in markdown syntax, and convert it to PDF with a node module cli
-
@bittersweet yeahhhhhh nope, nope, nope, dude I can't even mouse
-
What in the.. why is the... this is... I don't even know where to begin with this one man
-
@simulate well yeah... but it allows a great flexibility... it is both an advantage and a disadvantage.... depends on how you look at it, it will get messy with bigger code bases; but as a dev who wrote tons of NodeJs/expressJs based servers, I'm already used to the obscurity of object types... so I tend to look on the flexibility side of the matter
-
I feel your pain man 😪
-
@Root you are not wrong.... I guess riskier is joining them, it is definitely a bigger step
-
@c3r38r170 thanks man! Appreciate the support
-
@jeeper legally kinda, it's tricky, I'll have to pay a lot more taxes but I'll probably have no time, they have a long busy roadmap and I'm supposed to be fully integrated as an "equal partner" or shit like this... so I guess I'm also supposed to "feel" a part of the company, they did say that I'm allowed to keep projects that I'm working on if they are important to me, but I probably won't have the time for them anyways
-
@thealex yeah you're right, I mean it does feel right and it does feel like the next step, I'm just being sentimental, I feel like I'm gonna Kill my own "baby" you know?
Another example, today (Thursday morning 10:30)
I just decided I'm not gonna do anything today because I really need to just think about it, heck I'm still in bed.
You can't do that working for a company -
@NoToJavaScript yeah of course, I mean I worked with them for a while now, they don't do anything without contracts.
It is Germany after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -
@n3xus
well that's one of the biggest advantages and disadvantages of an untyped language,I don't want to make wrong assumptions but it's sounds like you haven't been working with NodeJs/JavaScript for a long time...
it has a lot to offer but and there are too many different "standards" that make it confusing at first, but these dynamic/weird code pieces can do quite a lot in the right hands.
It all depends on the needs of the product in the end and such.
You can trash every language and i do agree the some stuff are really weird but I guess nothings perfect like you said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love JavaScript/NodeJs, especially with express oder graphql, you can build a lot of cool things in almost no time -
Omg it was horrible 😂 created an npm proxy so our Jenkins server will build again only to have the cloudflare team fix it a couple of hours later
-
Out of poor interest... can you shed some light on why you regret it?
-
@rutee07

@devTea 😂 I wish could do ctrl+A delete next

Might not apply to what you are doing but in case you didn't know, Certificates are only needed for submitting the app to review, which means that revoking a prod certificate doesn't affect the app in production, so if you are having signing issues due some missing private key you can always create a new certificate when link it with the same/new provisioning profile

I hope my parents won't stumble onto something like that 😥
-
Thank you!
-
@daintycode this made me laugh a lot more than it should have
-
@Batman hahaha lol, can't deny it
-
@Qchmqs ya I know thank you! 😅, I am the who ranted about it yesterday.
-
@corscheid I mean look at this.
It starts to get annoying after some point, you can't see any notifications other than devrant's 😂. -
@dfox

@beercoder np, always happy to assist a fellow developer :)
It is a painful ugly process, each time I think I mastered all there is know about this shit another weird behaviour pops up and fucks my day, I spent fucking four hours trying to upload the version to iTunes connect.
Apple are a bunch of sadistic fucks. -
Sir, your rant is underrated
-
That made me giggle, have a ++
-
Some clients are just clueless... Its hard when your work is not appreciated, the feeling I hate the most is when you understand the you care more about the project than they do.
I gotta say though, I like the all nighters, I mean when you a team and work all together to achieve something, I dunno it's kinda awesome -
I loled

@misfitDev I spent about 2 hours trying to upgrade to their newest SDK. Fucking nightmare
