The firewall worked!

@JsonBoa product wouldn't be considered vegan if it was animal tested. Or if it uses the process harmful for animal or uses any coloring that is animal derivative, like cochineal, which is basically milled bugs.

Think about the last one to five projects you were involved in. What technologies did you use in them? Not what technologies were used in them, but which one _you_ used.
List them up on paper.
Do you know any technologies that weren't used in these projects? - Add them to the list.
How many did you got?
Now, underline each of the technologies you really liked and would like to work with in the future.
Take a pencil and cross out every one of the technologies you didn't like and which you hope are never going to touch them again.
Now, on the resume - add short description of the projects and involved tech.
If you want you can try to divide tech you "know" into levels - very comfortable with/comfortable with/used sporadically/learning.
It says more to know which ones you like using than to get some "familiarity percentage", especially with vast languages and frameworks. -
Visual Studio regularly runs out of memory while builind and deploying my current project, because, in 2019 it is still capped at 2GB RAM because of 32 bit architecture.
It may be many things, but responsive it ain't. -
Code review should also be about codestyle.
-
I'm gonna repeat question from before: why didn't you ask about remote work at the interview, especially if you're living far from the job offices?
Sounds like kind of question I'd ask and if they'd say they don't allow that, then I'd look for job bit closer home. -
Good luck, man!
-
@Codex404 I'm not sure if more features, I think that Android Studio loads tons of plugins that IntelliJ doesn't, by default. But I'd have to check that tomorrow.
-
@JohanO time flies. And 1 GB for IDE is not that much nowadays, that's all.
-
Amen. 😇

@hackedranger
An old, polish movie, about "hackers" had this scene, where one young, computer genius, was trying to break into soem system (I don't remember details anymore, sorry)
So, the other dude comes in and asks how is it going.
Answer:
"Fortress. Classic, triple firewall."
"And have you tried using emacs through sendmail?"
"Yeah, but they flushed me."
Most polish IT people laugh at this, but it only proves how harsh were 90s for technology in this country.
I also don't know personally anyone, who uses Emacs. It is doomed, I guess. -
@dotfuck I have one, just like that. Got it at jdd2018 conference, form luxoft. :)
-
@delc82 these are Luxoft, not devrant. :)

@Jilano I lived in an apartament, where there was small windows in the bedroom - but it only opened for like 30 degrees, no option to open it wide, and wall was so thick, tgere was no way to put a hand on the outside part.
I don't know who designed that, but for over a year I was not able to clean that window. I guess I'd need fire dept. ladder to clean it from the outside.
These windows at least look like they should open. -
So accurate!
-
The only notch I like so far is from the newest Huawei Mate. It's so small. But all notches are ugly, deal with it.
-
In real life the mother would answer "If dad agrees" ;p
-
You do remember the next scene, right? :P
Also, wrong tag. -
@irene Haha, I might be a bit biased at the moment, since I'm working on some legacy app now, which has that Holo design. And supports Android 4.0 up to 8.0. Dealing with that design now really hurts, but nobody has time to update it. :)
-
They did it on Android 4.4 :p Boy, was it bad :D

I tend to switch to tea after two cups of coffee. I'm definetely not a morning person, but I'm trying to be at the desk not later than 8 AM.
Reducing caffeine would not be good for productivity. -
@critlock92 Then I guess I'm ranting about your hypocrisy.
-
@critlock92 It doesn't matter. You're using English - you don't have to use apostrophes when you know how to avoid them, but you're givinig example that you don't always avoid them - "it's" means something different than "its".
Aditionally, you are using some weird double dot instead of single one or triple one and are not using big letters properly in words. My native language also is different in syntax than English, but please - if you want to rant about typos, be sure that, you can use that language correctly. -
@critlock92 So, you're not writing these posts in English?
-
@critlock92 Dude, you're ranting about typos and have problems with interpunction and ortography. Pick your fights.
Apostrophes do matter, as well as size of the letters and commas, and dots. -
I guess they started years ago and nobody else at the company knows what they're actually doing.
-
Report an app on Google Play, saying it's copy of your own. Even when you give an app to someone to use it, it's still your intelectual property.

Bookstore. My calendar for 2017 had coloring book pages, so I tried color it at the end of the month. Failed for some months, but it was great to think about whole month and plans for the next one.
Still don't know what kind I'm gonna get for next year, but that's a december's problem. -
I see that on your chrome you have some extensions installed. Do you have those on Mozilla as well? Or just compared tabs and ignored extensions?
-
Feel you, bro. This is one internet-access-everywhere con for me.
