macOS apparently can do no wrong. They always have an excuse.

Speaking of, XCode is the worst IDE I've ever had the misfortune of using. And I used Eclipse for Android dev.

IntelliJ seems like alien technology compared to XCode.

It happens on all apps, so I'm pretty sure it's not limited to a particular app.

Don't get me wrong, I'm productive on mac, but so am I on Windows, Linux. Heck, I dual boot Ubuntu and Windows.

I guess my frustration is in regards to people who tout macOS as this infallible OS without a flaw. When in reality, it can be as buggy as any other OS out there.

@tosensei of course. Any dev worth their salt knows not to trust whatever comes from the frontend. The server SHOULD always validate data first before doing anything with it.

Frontend form validation is simply UX centric in my opinion. It's not for security whatsover, it's just there to save the user's time by avoiding unnecessary validation roundtrips.

@retoor yeah, video streaming is still not a solved problem.
Yeah, I only use CDNs for video streaming or heavy file delivery. Helps speed things up a ton. Especially when it supports resumable uploads/downloads.

agreed. Nowadays, I exclusively host everything on DigitalOcean. It works so well.

What's your quarrel with CDNs?
I think in the right circumstances, they make sense. For example, with video delivery, on-the-fly image transformation...

@Demolishun thing is, I don't think they know what they want at this point.
Also, even if they offered me a management position, I wouldn't accept.
It's just a soulsucking workplace and I'm over it.

Yes, Android does show you an icon when a sensitive feature is being used. Be it camera, microphone, location...

@electrineer I seldom connect them to my phone. I mainly use them on my Macbook. Then sometimes when I sing along or talk, the feature is activated. The gesture works for some time, but the feature eventually gets activated again. It seems random.

spin up a decent Droplet and put everything there.

No need to use AWS managed service, they're expensive AF.

Ikr, a lot of dev forums seemed to be full of people obsessed with working at FAANG and the whole time I was thinking, why not work at a decent company that pays well but doesn't stress you much? One should work to live not live to work. Life should be more than that.

Are you me? I have two terms (4 months in total) left to go then I get my CS bachelor's but holy shit, at this point I don't even care about what grade I get as long as I pass the class. It's so draining. I feel like a zombie going through life right now.
