Copy-paste-edit. Started with javascript and PHP. I would copy a script and just edit some output. This was when blinking text, hit counters and guestbooks was all the rage.

When I started to learn functional programming I asked myself: "What the hell is this?"
Fast forward a couple of years, I still wonder what 'this' is.

Don't mind the hype. Whatever was good enough two years ago is still viable today.

It's easy to see what a person in my company do just by looking at their clothing. Money-guys with blue shirts and shiny shoes, tech guys with washed out jeans and a t-shirt with print. Then there's the bosses of tech guys, a hybrid with washed out jeans, sneakers and a poorly fit blazer for meetings. And then we have the designers, with their neatly trimmed beards, wearing a scarf all year round. And at last, project managers.. kinda like the money-guys but with sneakers for better mobility, and their right arm locked in a "holding cup of coffee" posture as they move from desk to desk like vultures overlooking others work.

Why haven't anyone told me about Aurelia before? I've been rewriting an Angularjs app, and tried both angular 2 and react. Not to step on anyones toes, but React isn't that great if you ignore virtual dom, and angular 2 is just.. wrong. The rant? Yet another framework I need to learn.

I hate arrow functions in ES6! Whenever I see them, I get acute code dyslexia and can't read shit. What the fuck is wrong with writing function, why change it for some unreadable series of symbols?

The myth about the missing semicolon. I don't get it, if your editor doesn't pick it up, the compiler og interpreter will. How is this a common problem?

I read some comments saying they use PHP7, latest nodejs, latest framework for whatever in production. Really? Am I the only one stuck with using ancient versions because of company policy?

We recently signed a huge deal with a big, very known vendor. I asked if they had a web interface to the software. Of course, they said, and gave us a link. I clicked the link and was asked to install java. Turns out the web version is just the desktop version wrapped in a Java applet. The applet didn't do well with openjdk, so they asked me to file a support ticket. They gave me another link. The service desk required shockwave flash.

While coding, I always listen to music. After a while, if I skip a song I know it's time for a break. The flow has been interrupted

Hotfixed a bug in production. Reintroduced in the next release. Is it just me?
