@devTea thanks for the advice!
-
@devTea It's because maybe there are too many tutorials already in English
-
@AlmondSauce but C# came with a lot of new tools to use such as Blazor, .NET Core. Almost all of its new tools and products are open-source, I don't know why it became boring
-
But .NET Core is cool
-
@SortOfTested I'm just scared that when I get out of school, new C# devs would be rare
-
Welp, because of WSL2, Docker can also run on Win10 Home. So yeah!
-
Hi guys, I just entered business school and will study economics. But it was a great journey learning programming and it will be of great help for me in the future
-
.NET Core and yeah a lot of people hate microsoft. But that's my stack (ASP.NET) because I like C#. Currently working on a basketball tracker type for a church activity
-
https://forums.asp.net/
-
Update, just got it to to work! But it sure wasn't a good experience
-
@Konsole nevermind that, I can't run docker daemon in that. About to use docker in a vm now
-
Well, I've found this post
https://medium.com/faun/...
Anyone tried it? -
@fuck2code run docker in WSL? How?
-
Also unfortunately, I can't get Docker Toolbox to work as well. Maybe I'll just host my source code on Github so I'll have proof that I still made something even without a running site
-
This is just sad. I'm still a student so I can only use a laptop my parents bought for me. Btw, which is better? Dual boot Linux or use it in a vm?
-
Shit, I think I'll be running Linux in a VM and work from there, why do you have to have different versions of the same Windows?! You could just turn of features for casual users!
-
Sorry guys. I really don't know muvh about js, but thanks for clearing that out for me. So Ajax is still esential everywhere, these new frameworks just uses it in a different way. But JQuery is the one I should be rethinking about using
-
@TobiSGD nice. Have learned basic networking before, planning to dive deeper later.
-
Uhm, I'm actually done with them. I am using C# so I'm comfortable with object oriented concepts already. But things like algorithms, data structures, low level programming, unix are the things I'm not particularly familiar with yet. Any tips where to start?
-
I'm planning on doing backend stuff, just because very few people want to do it and it uses mostly C# and very minimal front end. But being full stack won't be a problem for me, it's just that, I have decent amount of knowledge in HTML and CSS and minimal knowledge in Javascript, I don't know where to start
-
So to put it simply, this is mostly done on web applications especially those that contains lots of parts like a database. Instead of setting them up and having different settings, I just put them in one package and put that package everywhere and it will work just the same?
-
@netikras nope, Windows because I'm still a student and I would like to use C#
-
@netikras what's that?
-
Yep, slow internet. But what I'm mad about is how easy it breaks and so hard to fix
-
@shousukekomi marami rin. So ayun lang, pwede mo naman siguro ishare sa ibang tao dito. Maintindihin naman sila. Pwede mo rin ishare sa amin mga pinoy
-
Bakit?
-
@norman70688 You're right, but he said "strong e.g. MVVM architecture" so that can have a lot of code before making something work especially for just a prototype
-
Since it's just a prototype, maybe just make it work. Instead of thinking about it's architecture and long term health of your code. That comes later when your prototype is accepted
-
@Nanos Well, I code in C#. So mostly I create basic desktop apps and planning to create web apps, but I just lost motivation to do something. I feel I need to create a project
-
But the thing is, I'm a student, and it's vacation
