@PhantomBKB I found the actual source https://w3techs.com/technologies/...
Is more than 80% -
@PhantomBKB still does, more than 80% if I remember well
-
@byte-me UK is amazing for jobs, I got actually 5 offers after 8 tech tests. Just restricted to 2 because the other positions weren't as interesting as those two
-
@gorsamp I know that would sound weird, but I think that the bigger company has more an open mind about new technologies.
Plus I will probably trade "learning new things" with "stable job" -
@jhh2450 I agree with you on this, but still... The venue is amazing, they have been around for a bit, but not too much, I have a mortgage though and job security is a fucking must...
-
How big is the screen?
-
Usually is not the language but the programmer 😀
-
I know that feeling... You are not alone my friend.
Changed from a company with disgusting legacy code to find another with even more disgusting legacy code.
The attitude "I will do it like this for now, because of deadlines, I will fix it later" is the real killer of coding standards and principles. -
Not testing the right thing so
-
GitHub, mostly because its usability and the huge community behind it.
-
@cGF0 don't need the else if you return
-
@sam0 more like "to drive an audi you must learn how to drive a Mercedes first"
-
@chadd17 oh thank god it's not
-
@Artemix I guess I haven't checked it out as much as I should have. I was looking into tornadofx (as you suggested?) it is only for kotlin? Probably I should check it out as well.
-
@Gatgeagent tried, and it so so unstable that becomes annoying, plus does not load the css
-
@Artemix I would again, the problem is that designing the forms is really complicated, and the graphic tools are so unstable that makes me want to use only the text fxml version.
Do you suggest any tutorial? -
@zmzmuazzam98 yes I did, but the output bundle size is too heavy for what I am doing. 180 mb for a small app...
Plus I would like to work with native code rather than adapting pattern and tech that I know already -
@chadd17 lol that was my plan all along muhuahahahaha
-
I am Italian by the way, to whom downvoted me lol
-
Every time I need to learn a new programming language or a tech I use it to make a football manager game, it does sound stupid I know, but it is something I like and that I have idea of how it would work.
My advice is code something that you find interesting and useful for yourself and you will learn it faster and face a lot of the problems you could face using it professionally. -
Why would you want italians here? They are dirty and only rant about pasta made wrong online
-
It is a ok-ish programming language. Not the best for coding standards and performances, but easy to pick up and to deploy everywhere.
I don't love it to bits but I think it has its purpose and use cases, and I don't like people who just say "derp it sucks go js blabla" they are fan boy and posers. Every programming language is a good tool designed to solve a set of problems, and php is just one of them. -
Yes, they do and who say otherwise never tried a jet brain product. They are way more user friendly, stable and clever than any other ide
-
That's horrible, I would not apply thinking that probably all their code is like that XD
They should have showed it to the IT department first -
This must be the best thing I have ever read Ahahah

I know that feeling, I worked one year on c# under Windows then I decided to go back to Linux and I changed job. I wasn't enjoying the whole environment.
