Are you fucking serious right now?!

I hate Upwork so much

    Just decline and search a job that you would be actually interested in, I really don't see a problem?

    Also, who the flying fuck cares if you typed this on a mobile device. No, I won't excuse any typos. You're writing a job description, not a snapchat message. If you have typos in your job description I'll just take you for an illiterate idiot instead of just an idiot (which comes from the description and the budget).

    @JoshBent it’s the premise. There should be standards. I did decline it and move on. It just annoys me because everyone thinks building iOS apps is super easy and anyone can do it in a week

    @mzeffect its an automatic message if you post from your phone, awkward now that you know, right?

    @IMDownerzac the same clients either fuck off from the site after getting declined multiple times or raise their budget or somebody tells them a realistic budget they often are fine to pay, they most usually just put placeholders not knowing how much its worth, I have had 300$ budgets go into the multi thousands after explaining them what and why its fair and what they get with my contract.

    Oh first i thought it was 200k$

    @JoshBent that’s a very valid point

    @BindView lol now that would be different

    200$? is he joking?
  • 2
    He needs to add a couple zeros to that budget.

    No way in 200$.

    But, I think many students use Upwork and they agree to work even at low prices just to gain experience.

    That's a big loss for the professional freelancers who rely on Upwork.
